Race Winners Announced!

Mr and Mrs Gerald Parlante were presented their tickets to the 12 Hours of Sebring by former board member Scott McPhee. As new residents of Avon Park they were delighted to receive this prize package valued at $1000. These tickets are donated by Sebring Raceway and proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Highlands County.

Smiles were very wide as winners Mr and Mrs Rabideau accept their tickets for the 12 hours of Sebring from Mary Sprinkle, vet assistant at the Humane Society. Unbelievably, last year the Rabideau's were winners of the $1000 grand prize donated by Sebring International Raceway and this year they won second place. So these residents of Buttonwood Bay will again enjoy the hospitality of Sebring Raceway.

LP Board of Realtors Host a "Groovy" event!

The Lake Placid Board of Realtors held a 60's and 70's Dance-a-thon on Saturday, January 12th to raise funds for the Humane Society of Highlands County and the Miracle League of Lake Placid. The event was a huge success and attended by more than 250 people and raised more than $4,000!
Our thanks to all of the Lake Placid realtors, but particularly C.S. Edwards Realty and Premier Realty who did a lot of the planning. Many businesses donated prizes which were auctioned off by professional auctioneer John Pavlik who volunteered his time for the evening. The prizes ranged from a 42" flat panel television to a golf trip, a full page ad in the newspaper and homemade pies! It was great fun and raised money for two good causes!
